Common Issues

While we’d love for everything to work perfectly the first time, sometimes things don’t always go as planned. In this section, we’ll go through a few of the common issues you may come across while using our Connect APIs.

Issue: The characters in my message were not resolved correctly.

Resolution: Data encoding can often be the cause of incorrect characters. Check our chart below to make sure your encoding system is set up correctly.

Issue: My image/gif showed up after the text of my MMS message.

Resolution: First, check to see if this user is on Verizon. A current bug in Verizon causes gifs over 62KB to show up after the message. Please check out the bug tracker to see how to test if this is the issue.
